摘要
Nickel-rich layered oxides are considered to be one of the most promising candidates of cathode material for the next generation Li-ion batteries (LIBs) due to their high specific capacity. However, the capacity fading and poor rate capability caused by the interface instability and structure degradation hinder their commercial applications. Herein, we propose a one-step strategy to stabilize the nickel-rich cathode material through a synergistic effect of surface engineering and lattice doping. The interfacial structure stability is improved by a uniform nano-coating of Gd2O3 & LiGdO2 with an ultra-high electronic conductivity, the lattice degradation and grain cracks have been suppressed by gradient Gd-doping. It exhibits a distinguish discharge capacity of 62.68 mAh g(-1) at a super high rate of 50 ? within the voltage range of 2.7 - 4.5 V, as well as suppresses the capacity decay at high temperature.
