摘要
At the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF), ultrafast experiments require picosecond temporal resolution. Thus, understanding the jitter of a single X-ray pulse is important. In this study, a timing synchronization control system that combines a timing system, optical fiber network, and X-ray streak camera detection system were employed to accurately acquire the temporal characteristics of a single X-ray pulse at a low photon intensity(103 photons/pulse). Experimental results showed that the intensity of a single X-ray pulse is distributed as a Gaussian curve in the longitudinal direction, and the pulse jitter broadens to approximately 5 ps, which is sufficient for ultrafast temporal resolution research at the SSRF.
