CCP4/Shanghai School in Macromolecular Crystallography and Cryo Electron Microscopy:From data collection to structure refinement and beyond
Dear All,
We are pleased to announce the CCP4/Shanghai School in Macromolecular Crystallography and Cryo Electron Microscopy: From data collection to structure refinement and beyond. The school is organized jointly by National Facility for Protein Science in Shanghai (NFPSS), Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Collaborative Computational Project #4 (CCP4), ShanghaiTech University and Chinese Crystallographic Society(CCrS), with assistance from Ruslan Sanishvili (KMUTT). It will be held at NFPSS SARI and ShanghaiTech University from September 18 to September 29. 2025.
Lectures will cover the basics of macromolecular crystallography (MX) and Cryo Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM). Some of the highlights of the school will be extensive tutorials on software, MX and EM data collection from the participants’ samples, and problem-solving sessions where the participants will work on their own projects with the guidance of the local and international experts.
Students will have an opportunity to display posters of their projects to facilitate more productive discussions with the experts.
For more information about speakers please find from https://conf.ccrs.net.cn/ccp4shanghai.
Deadline for applications is September 8. Graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and young scientists at the assistant professor level, along with commercial/industrial researchers are encouraged to apply. 25 applicants will be selected for participation in software training and problem-solving sessions. The lectures will be open to all.
There are no registration fees for academic applicants in general lecture sessions.
Registration fees for academic applicants selected by software training and problem-solving sessions are 2000 Chinese Yuan.
Registration fee for applicants form commercial/industrial organizations is 4000 Chinese Yuan.
The program, online application, and other details can be found on the school website https://conf.ccrs.net.cn/ccp4shanghai.
